CAREERS IN MUSIC
A project curated by Pierfrancesco Pacoda
A series of four two-hour meetings, curated by Pierfrancesco Pacoda, dedicated to four key professional figures within the music industry. The aim is to provide essential introductory skills for those who wish to turn a passion into a professional path. The protagonists are professionals, deeply rooted in Bologna’s territory and its surrounding province, who, starting from this local context, have built solid entrepreneurial ventures in different fields, often with a strong international outlook.
Managing a club
Bologna is universally recognized as a center of excellence for live music in Italy. Its clubs represent a fundamental component not only of the territory’s social fabric, but also of its artistic identity.
This panel brings together two key figures from the Bolognese scene: Gabriele Ciampichetti, Artistic Director of Locomotiv Club, and Katia Giampaolo, a historic figure of Estragon.
The session will offer a comprehensive overview of the complex management of a music club. Participants will gain insight into what happens behind the scenes: from artistic programming strategies and event promotion to the delicate bureaucratic issues that regulate daily operations. An opportunity to explore the vital role these venues play in shaping the city’s cultural life and identity.
